Some of the Postal Assistant in the Department of Post are working as system administrator/system manager and shouldering the responsibility of Making the Department Total computerisation. The working hours, incentives is not been defined. They are taking the responsibility of computerising offices for which they are attached. The work invovles greater skill and more dedecation. Their pay should atleast be upgraded to that of HSG II.with separate cadre and identification Please give your valuable suggestion and support. Hope our superiors will take up the matter and do some justice regarding this.
No postal official is willing to work as system manaager/system administrator in dop yet some postal assistant s are voluntrily shouldering the technical job to maintain compter system, IT and installation of all the DOP software, antivirus any other comman and specific application software and computer hardware and its allied peripherals. besides they also impart the practical training to the postal staff also.
